In the surrounding area
Very close to Hattenhofen is the hunting parcour of Bavaria. There you can find a shooting range with clay pigeons, pheasants and more.
It also provides hunting tests and shooting courses. Company events with Teambuilding aspects and an all-day program (e.g. with a night-walk to Eberls for a nice supper) can be booked.
The close by moor of Haspelmoor with its rare biota are perfect for walking trips all year long. Every winter, the local hiking association arranges romantic hiking days through the moor.
A nationwide famous Event is the Medieval festival in Kaltenberg.
Gut Mergenthau, a former castle, is only a few minutes away and, combined with the Hiasl Adventure walk, worth a visit.
The regional center of cultural events and seminars with 300.000 guests every year is the Fürstenfeld event forum. It is located in the magnificent baroque site of the former Cistercian monastery. The grand church and the beautiful gardens create the very special atmosphere of the event forum.
The museum of Fürstenfeldbruck shows one exhibit of Eberls, the replica of an old carriage for the transportation of salt. The original can be seen in our restaurant.
Museum of the Furthmühle: the mill Furtmühle close to Egenhofen is the last working flour mill in the county of Fürstenfeldbruck. Well-kept and preserved, it is open to visitors.
Museum of the Jexhof close to Schöngeising is an historic farm, which displays the live Bavaria in 1900. It also contains several exhibitions.
Open Air Pool Mammendorf with a lake, several pools, big children-and toddler areas and one of the longest waterslides of Germany.
Königstherme Königsbrunn, a small thermal pool that provides both fun and relaxation.
5-Seen-Land is the area of upper Bavaria with the five lakes: Ammersee, Wörthsee, Starnberger See, Weßlinger See and Pilsensee. The biggest lakes, Ammersee, Starnberger See and Wörthsee are very close to us. Not only can you go swimming, but also enjoy the nice scenery all year long and visit interesting places like Herrsching, Stegen, the monastery of Andechs or the monastery of St. Ottilien.
When you spend some time at the Ammersee, take a ride on one of the many steamboats.
Munich, of course, with its many sights and attractions like the Octoberfest, Hofbräuhaus, Olympic Park, BMW World, Allianz Arena, Castle Blutenburg, Castle Nymphenburg, the beautiful Viktualien market and so much more, is always worth a visit.
Apart from Munich and Augsburg, there are some other cultural and historical cities like Friedberg and Landsberg very close to us.
Landsberg am Lech, the historical city with its old walls, towers, churches has a lot of sights to visit, or just to take a long walk on one of the beautiful hiking and cycling paths next to the river Lech.
More beautiful small towns in Bavaria are close by, like Königsbrunn.
